Could these be the ultimate city commuting tire? Just the fact of not worrying about getting a flat is worth the price paid for these tires.

a possible new bearing cleaner

This time of year skating outdoors ruins bearings I found a great alternative to bearing cleaners. I started using a variety of bike chain lubes that are designed for ultimate outdoor chain protection and found Rock N Roll to be the best so far. A drop or so in each bearing will do the job. This stuff can be found in most local bicycle shops for under $10.

Heaven in Hartford, CT design 2

"Heaven (New Ross County Wexford Park) has been deemed an official Skate Park by the City of Hartford, and there's a whole Task Force of skaters, bikers, artists and supporters working on making it even better than it already is, but it can't be done without the opinions of the skaters who use the park on a regular basis."

"It needs to be the people's park. It's got to be authentic. None of that pre-fab stuff that nobody ever wants to skate on.  This is your chance to build your own park. You tell them what you want (within reason) and more importantly - what you don't want, and they'll incorporate the skating/biking/hip-hop community's ideas into the design."

Carlson Fields Skatepark, Hingham, MA

On 8/12/10, the Hingham, MA Department of Public Works (DPW) had a meeting to discuss the conceptual design of the skatepark (size, features) and to get community input before the final iteration. Prior to this meeting, a small working group which consisted of skaters, the chairman Bob Garrity and Roger Fernandes got together with the landscape designer, Mike Macintyre, of advanced skate development. ASD (http://www.actionsportdesign.com) was selected to design the park. The street area should be done by Thanksgiving and then construction of the bowl begins.

What year did you start riding and why?

1994, but more so into 1995. I started riding bikes due to the disgust I 
developed towards sports. The coaches, I hate to be taught, I like to learn, myself. BMX gives that. 

Why didn’t you like street riding when you started in your early BMX days?

I was under the impression that only racing and dirt jumping was cool. My brother also had me convinced that freestylers sucked and were goofy.

Name one thing that you wish would disappear from BMX.
